One of Richmont's ventures, Richmont Sciences LLC, is engaged in sales and marketing of a revolutionary new surface disinfectant, IV-7. This product is effective against such deadly threats to public health as H1N1 (Swine Flu), MRSA, VRE, Influenza A, e Coli, Salmonella and HIV Type 1. It uses the first new generation patented antimicrobial to be registered with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in the past 30 years. The Richmont Holdings partners have had experience during the past two decades managing a portfolio of companies in such varied industries as financial services, marketing, direct-to-consumer and business-to-business sales, international trading, manufacturing and insurance. They have invested in a range of companies in various industries. The chairman of Richmont Holdings is John P. Rochon. The name “Richmont” comes from the street in Scranton, Pennsylvania where Mr. Rochon grew up; He chose it to honor the values of hard work and honorable ethics instilled in him by his parents. As founder and general partner of Richmont Capital Partners I, Mr. Rochon led the partnership to become the largest shareholder in Avon Products, Inc. Some other major investments included Royal Appliance/Dirt Devil, Maybelline, The Dial Corp., Harvey’s Hotels and Casinos, The Edison Project and Armor Holdings. Mr. Rochon served as Chairman of Mary Kay Inc, and led that company's successful leveraged buyout and subsequent major growth. As a result of their successful investment and management history, the Richmont Holdings partners have developed unique expertise in financial affairs, marketing, strategic business planning and operations.
